Those southern bands you mentioned are mainly sludge (aside from pantera), while the "northern" big four is a thrash metal big four.
Different stuff, incomparable
I love all of them though

Dime is a different type of a musician, he is not for sludge metal, Southern rock blues type of music. He had his signature style and even when he was in Rebel Meets rebel country/metal he was doing the same groove/thrash stuff, which i like too.
I do not see why one would think of Dime listening to this, aside from the fact that Phil used to be in Pantera
