@Mattystew17 no it is not. look at the box, it says FSC near the barcode. still a good cig though, they use seaweed instead of glue for the fsc tube

This is what American Spirit's are for.

Cigarettes today suck, ive been smoking for 20 years since i was 13, and the FSC is garbage. Might as well quit.

My humble hypothesis is this: Because of how microwaves work (heating up water), and by the properties of FSC materials (they are designed to resist heat in order to slow burning) you are mos likely just evaporating any moisture in the tobacco (drying it out) so that it burns faster, hotter, and longer.

i tried it with 1 cigarette the tobacco just seemed dryer but it did taste better but im most likely not gonna do this again because it might put radiation in u dont need lung cancer faster im just gonna go with american spirit perique blend or whatever its called and stop smoking marlboro reds

This certainly wont work. The FSC is contained IN the paper. It's like carpet glue and nuking it won't change that fact. I imagine it would make it worse, because now its been exposed to extreme heat and radiation! and then you light it on fire and inhale the fumes? it cant' possibly be better, or a solution. IMO

lol just roll your own cigarettes.. saves money and no FSC ..the black Top-O-Matic Cigarette Rolling machine works great..

Just tried this.
Cigarette used: Lucky Strike Unfiltered
1st time: 30 seconds.
Worked. Cigarette was kind of dry but definitely couldnt feel the burn in the throat from FSC chemicals. Set on a table, and remains burned all the way through until there was only ash left behind.
Then, I smoked an unmicrowaved cigarette. Taste was different. It left tobacco and paper behind after it burned out.
HOWEVER, the 2nd time I microwaved a cigarette, it burst into flames. So I dont recommend doing this.
