Gabriel Steals the Show

December 11,2009, My two bichon rescues,Gabriel, the grinning bichon in the middle, Rosie , to our left of him, appeared with Small Paws Rescue founder Robin Presnall, Boris, Debra Berger's rescue and Giovanni, a bichon foster who is featured and available for adoption ...but Gabriel upstaged everyone. He is why I, once again, flunked Fostering 101. ( This IS FOX's video but was hoping they'd let me keep showing it )

Thanks so much for your comments Jim...Glad to hear you are above water and able to type. Gabriel and Shelby.....that would be too much cuteness in one room ! Shelby definitely has a more dignified and calmer demeanor.

Everytime I see this segment (and I send it to a LOT of friends!), I keep thinking, instead of saying "Next year in Jerusalem!", we should be saying, "Next year, in a FurEVER home!"

Which is the waver, Giovanni or Gabriel? Anyone who is thinking of a bichon should know that MOST of them are not "yappy" but only bark when they are announcing or need something. I think the waver was being teased into barking! Seriously, Small Paws Rescue is the ONLY charity which I know of that sends everyone a statement of EXACTLY how much is spent where each month - SPR is completely dependent on those who donate time or funds - Good Work, Robin!!

The waver is Gabriel...and you are correct..Most bichons are NOT "yappers". Gabriel IS a SMALL PAWS RESCUE, given up partly because his personality is very,,,"um,...strong". Robin is correct: They are each very, VERY different!!! BOTH Rosie AND Gabriel were fosters adopted by me, and as you can see, Rosie's personality is such that she was sitting quietly...so, no, lol, Gabriel was not  being teased..:)

This is such a joy to watch, and Gabriel absolutely steals the show. I think if he got together with my wire fox terrier Shelby, they could rule the world!! What a great segment for Small Paws Rescue, as well as for Gabie's greatest hits film reel.

I love Gabriel!  He's the sweetest little boy. I hope all the needy dogs get homes.
