thank god me and my brother quit playing MMO's like FFXI that shit just takes over and RUINS your life big time. I saw a funny comment somewhere, you dont wana be telling your kids about stories of how well you can kill a rarab in west sarabaturba >.>
People farm food, because people need to eat. It is not a luxury. People farm virtual currencies, because people will pay real money for it. Who is to blame? The consumer of course, I cannot blame the supplier if the demand is high. It is the people who buy the virtual currency that ruin the game. Ultimately, it is the designer of the game who is to blame, especially if no changes have been made to the game design to help eliminate the sales of virtual currency.
I laughed at 5:55. If I see a gold farmer, the last thing I would do is give him space. It would be an insta-violations report and hope the GM's do their job.
This video is crap. Why don't they focus more on the fact these kids are making money without breaking their backs in a field the way everyone in China did just 20-30 years ago?
These workers are not being exploited at all. They are free to find other forms of employment. Honestly I'd much rather gold farm than food farm irl.
Certainly what they're doing ruins the game for some players and I'm not condoning their behavior, but they're just trying to make money to survive.
@soulskyela oh yea i know it ruin other games only god know how much i hate gil sellers back in ff11, but i just dont c how gold selling effect wow since everything is so easily obtainable...at least it was easy for me to get everything i wanted.
@zhengification It ruins games because it is unfair to many people who earn it honestly. It is also cheating. Also Goldfarmers are very annoying... and plus when you can buy money or gold in game it corrupts the real value and throw it off unbalanced. This is also illegal. It will definately ruin the game. (Plus it does not only include WOW but rather many other online games... just so you know.)
I love chain ganking these mother fuckers! Then reporting them! BAHAHAHA!!!!

I love the "it's not immoral" part... Really? The other 90% of players that are not RMT sure frown upon it.
