So we have changed a few things since last time I showed you how we did cloth wipes so I decided to do a video to show you all what we do now : )

We use diaper lotion potion concentrate mixed with distilled water and we put it in a spray bottle. We use one tablespoon of the concentrate with one cup distilled water.

We use the thin Gerber baby washcloths as the cloth wipes. They work great!
I fold them in a way that they pop up just like disposable wipes and I keep them in a huggies wipe container.

When its time to use one I just take the spray bottle mix it up and spray it on the wipe. EASY PEASY!!! :o) And cloth wipes work SOOO much better than disposable ones! I only need one to get the job done whereas with disposables I may need 2 or 3!

If the wipe gets a lot of poo on it then I just spray it off with the diaper sprayer along with the diaper if not I just put them in the diaper pail along with the cloth diapers then wash them on wash day. The diaper lotion potion smells so good that it helps keep the diaper pail from smelling as well : )

  • I just started using cloth wipes, I have wanted to for a while and finally got some. Why do you use distilled water?

  • @SashaTheEcoMommy keeps the solution fresher longer : )

  • Question: What are some of your (and other mama's) reasons for using cloth wipes? Great tutorial, btw!

  • @tmarie071 1) They are more convenient b/c you don't have to seperate the wipes and the cloth diapers (sometimes disposable wipes accidentally end up in the washer with your diaper that can cause a huge mess) 2) Some babies are allergic or sensitive to the chemicals in disposable wipes 3)They clean up a poo mess more effectively 4) They are cheaper b/c you re-use them instead of buying disposabel wipes all of the time

  • Thank you for all that you share with the world of youtube, I am new to CDing (your videos are extremely helpful) and want to use cloth wipes as well, do you wash the wipes in the same wash as your diapers?

  • @mrstimmyt yep same wash : )

  • @tmarie071 I didn't even think about #1! When my husband and I were setting up our daughter's nursery, he even asked, "why are you using the manufactured wipes but CDing." I just told him I thought it would be easier since we already had some from our toddlers, plus their fragrance is strong enough to make poopy diapers more tolerable. However, you make a very good point that I didn't even consider before. Thank you!

  • amazing video thank you mamma!

  • how long does each bottle of your spray bottle concoction last?

  • Awesome how many fit in there ? Can you just wet them all once after you placed them inside the container ?What dose the solutions do ?

  • excellent video

  • Great video.
