Postcard from Hoxeyville Music Festival 2009

Happy Summer, Michigan Style! Hoxeyville Music Festival is an annual three-day music festival held in the middle of the Manistee National Forest in Lower Michigan. 2009 was the 7th anniversary of the festival, which included both National and local acts like Buddy Guy, Green Sky Blue Grass and Michigan favorites including Earthworks Music Collective.

The August festival is located in a beautiful part of Lower Michigan and was easy to find. Festivalgoers camp in the woods, not in a parking lot or an open field. You can park your vehicle by your campsite in many cases. The festival provides water pumps in several locations and a nearby general store for supplies.

The event was well organized, friendly and offers a great line up. Attend if you can, you won't regret it!
