PAPERCUT - Boris and Dougie 1

We came up with the idea for PAPERCUT while we were filming a short back in August 04' originally called THE FAX(Donut My Donut comes from this short). After we filmed this we came back from Massachusetts and began writing a 1st draft screenplay including these characters which we had invented while filming. The working title for this 79 page script was called again THE FAX. After the 1st draft came out eyesview wanted to do some experimental shooting from the script to test character interactions and relationships. So in Late december of 2004 the maryland crew (at that time ERIC and RAYMOND) ventured up to Massachusetts for 3 days and after doing a read through of the script we shot for 8 hours at Arrowpress (The warehouse location) and banged out some pretty funny material. This shoot proved to be very useful us as writers. A week after returning from this shoot in MA we began drafting the second draft of the screenplay. This time we were able to add and subtract things and tell the "whole" story of these anti-hero office workers and there zany adventures. When all was said and done the second draft added on about another 30 pages and changed it's name to PAPERCUT. Since the second draft eyesview has put aside PAPERCUT in hope to someday later find funding to help produce it. Maybe someday we can come back to the idea and make it a reality.
