Tomorrow, Monday, October 1st, 2012 will be exactly 50 years since this theme was heard for the first time. I'm highly doubtful that Leno & Co. will say or do one blessed thing to mark the occasion. So weird, Leno (except for a brief stint by Conan), has been at the helm of the show for 20 years, and he still feels like a sub-par fill-in at best. We still miss you Johnny, and always shall.

Just the other day I watched the classic Simpsons episode where Carson guest starred. His doorbell played this song.
