See what would happen to bed bugs during a heat treatment. ThermalStrike is a low-cost technology that uses infra-red heat to kills Bed Bugs and other insects in luggage, purses, backpacks, books, etc.

Mike uses Turkistan Cochroaches because it's difficult to get a couple hundred bed bugs to sign up for this test...

  • My apologies, it was turkistan cockroaches.

Forbes and Ebeling (and others) have published the thermal lethal requirements for German cockroaches and they are higher than those required for bed bug control. I am trying in having this test recreated with bed bugs.

  • Sorry I cant find the scientific name for turkish cockroaches, do you mean turkistan cockroaches?

I am also not as convinced as you are that you can extrapolate from roaches to bedbugs as there are different sizes as well as species.

I would love to see some data with actual bedbugs.
