@blahblahblah3333 this is old, but no one commented.. its actually called a fretwrap... though lots of people do use hairbands.. they are mostly used for people who do a lot of finger tapping, its for muting strings.. basically acts the same way your palm would if you were palm muting, but it frees up your hand to do the tapping necessary in this type of playing.. a lot of lead guitarists use them now a days

Wow... That was fantastic. I know of no other bass besides an MTD (Michael Tobias Design) that could make those tones.
