I've been watching wrestling for a LONG time, and this intro here I do believe was the very first wrestling-orientated footage I EVER seen. I must have been 2 or 3 and some one bought me the WrestleMania 7 video on VHS, why I dunno. But watching this gives me butterflies and the entire WrestleMania 7 event was the first PPV I ever watched. Really special memories indeed. It may not be the most-remembered WrestleMania but this is what introduced me to the world of sport's entertainment 18 yrs ago

The difference now is that even the matches that werent headlining the event we look back on as significant, we remember Hogan vs Slaughter and Warrior vs Savage but Undertaker vs Snuka, Jake Roberts vs Martel, and Hart Foundation vs Nasty Boys are all memorable in some way. I enjoyed WM 27 but outside of Undertaker vs Triple H there is not one match that people will find memorable in 20 years, not even Miz vs Cena which was the main event.

By the time probably nobody knew, but in that Wrestlemania one of the biggest legends of the WWF/WWE born: The Undertaker's Streak which is standing tall till today, 19 years later, and will forever last. Long live to The Undertaker( and his streak)!!!

It's possible that there were threats on Slaughter's life, but the main reason for moving the show indoors has usually been acknowledged as, simply, they couldn't sell enough tickets to fill up the outdoor venue.
