Any updates on the groundcover & trees vs. grass drama? I constantly am fighting back the kikuyu on my swales, and the groundcovers are annuals so I'm replanting in spring and autumn... swales are 1.5 years old.

i just looked up kikuya, that stuff is wicked mate, :D the joys of the tropic eh? anywho, white clover does a crazy good job of keeping out grass, a lot of alliums do as well. a lot of bulbs repel grass, daffodils, i know calendula also, black walnut, but, that comes with other issues. Anywho, i know i have some others saved in my 'library' i'll try and track down. also, yeah, FoodForests reply is also spot on.
