Taken by Gain Lee of the UK at the 2007 Texas Star Party. 1-minute exposures with 10-second delay between exposures for dew removal.

The Milky Way Galaxy, seen on-edge, rises in the east. The bright "star" in the image is the planet Jupiter. Green laser pointers flash as fog enveloped the ranch to everyone's dismay.

Thanks for looking - vance106

  • Beautiful, and I love the music. We filmed a documentary at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare a few years back. Drop by and take a look at the trailer. Thanks for sharing.

  • What's with the funky star?

  • Thanks Mate...Was looking for this.

  • Nice. I liked the "pulsar-ish" large stars. Can't quite figure why they'd pulse rhythmically like that.
