The unemployment figure is meaningless..Australian workers are more casualised than ever before..a more realistic figure would be to know how many people are working full time. Now there are more Australians than ever leaving our shores to escape the bastardry of the workchoice laws your Messiah has burdened us with..get real, he is 3 weeks away from the retirement he can't handle! How sweet!

John Howard has kept interest rates as low as he could. The Cash Rate was 5.25% at the 2004 election -- the rate now is 6.5%. His promise was that rates would always be lower under a Liberal Government -- not that they would never rise if that was what was needed to control inflation.
Inflation / Unemployment under Hawke & Keating -- 9% & 11% respectively; under Whitlam 17% and 7% respectively. What are the rates under Howard -- Inflation 2.9%; Unemployment 4.2%. Why is Howard on the nose?

Howard will be remembered as the only Prime Minister ever to take Australia to a war on false pretenses. A war that has so far killed over 1.2 million Iraqis, left over 4 million homeless and devastated their country which is now a basket case at the mercy of US oil greed.
He will also be fondly remembered as the politician with the longest, brownest, red, white and bluest tongue in the business.
