having one chinchilla can be a good thing...

If you have two chinchillas and they fight it is almost impossible to put them back in the same cage so you have to have the money for another cage, vet bills etc, surely an expert like yourself should know this?

Also, my chinchilla was born alone and would be impossible to pair with another male. female would more than likely be fine if I wanted to breed but I dont. Single chins if you have loads of time for them. It isnt wrong at all.

@chubbytwosoesh That is not true. Chinchillas in the wild get wet. I have had chinchillas for 14 years, occasionally I bath them in warm water then I dry them off as quickly as possible with a towel. The crucial thing is that they dry off quickly but they do not die from getting wet, they drink water, sometimes it may get on their fur but it will not kill them. Anybody who tells you otherwise is frankly wrong.

Two chinchilla are minimun. If you just have one, you just show that you do not know anything about chinchilla!

Please, to all of you, who want to have a Chinchilla... There is no way you can have one alone! This animals are living in their own society, means they are living in groups! Thats why you can hardly split a couple! Because they need and love each other! So please, befor buying a chinchilla read about their behaviors and likes and dislikes.
