How to Create your own autoexec.cfg file for left 4 dead

Some coms can't just save a text doc as .cfg. What one has to do is after putting commands in the notepad, click "Save As". Then, name the text doc "autoexec.cfg" and save type as should be "all files".That way, the saved doc becomes a .cfg, and there will be no .txt at the back.

but, i dont get howyou enter the commands into the file, do they have to have these ( [ )symbols like in the console? and do you have to enter them in aline undereachother? i saw tat you had paragraph like things, they were divided into groups :/

you could always look up left 4 dead autoexec.cfg on google and can probubly find a dl somewhere

i do put .cfg at the end... i think my pc just hates me Q_Q
It is not working,im trying to do bind key and a command,but it does not work,also when i ighlight the file,it still says it is an text file.

@KiteNamikaze if it says it's a text file then you did not save as a cfg file and that's why it won't work, delete it and make a new one, and save with the name of the file autoexec.cfg under that in save file type change it from txt (cause that'll be default most likely) to all files, since you put .cfg at the end of the file name, it will be saved as a cfg file
