At the heart of every galaxy like our own Milky Way lies a supermassive black hole, but scientists are unsure which develops first.

  • The chicken or the egg question is easy when taken literally.

    The egg came first.

Or if you want to put it more specifically and say chicken egg. What came first the chicken or the chicken egg; it was the chicken egg. A species of bird which was not a chicken laid an egg and that egg contained a chicken, making the egg a chicken egg. So in both cases the egg came first.

However universe or black hole *makes a whooshing sound*

  • The black hole, obviously. It's analogous to a vagina. If the galaxy came first, the black hole never would have.

  • neither, god came first! duh!

  • kaku your awesome also why not fill wormholes with space instead of exotic mater becous space has kept our universe from collapsing

  • Ahh i cant help mentioning the Muse references here, even though they're unintentional

  • @45dfghjk1 I don't think he won't he looks young if you would dye his hair and eyebrowns black, he would look like a 20 year old.

  • @NotJames1 Took it too far.

  • "Stars are nothing more then hydrogen bombs"

So we have a bomb a million times bigger then our planet that is close to us ? (On the cosmic scale)

    Well...we're fucked o.o

  • @TheCoolGuy367 Yes and No, conversion Matter-Energy-Matter is very inefficient process, as you know E=mc2. As for quarks, I do agree that they were formed at the explosion and protons and electrons came later from them. But, the amount of other non H atoms and in this respect neutrons was very insignificant to talk about it. Heavy elements was cooked in stars and super heavy elements (Fe ->) was created in supernovas.

  • @deonisdeonis You mean ENERGY was created than it condensed into particles such as quarks and bosons etc... THAN atoms from protons electrons and neutrons. The stars by the way, would have formed around the highly condensed dark matter since dark matter produces a viable source of gravity in our physical reality. That's what lead to the creation of stars than to super novas than to nebulae than to everything else. That's the big bang theory anyway :/

  • @deonisdeonis i agree.

  • No, at the Big Bang event lots of Protons and Electrons were created which combined to form lots of hydrogen atoms. Since at the exposition we had so much of hydrogen gas the first stars were extremely massive. After death of these stars the neutron stars and black holes came to be. A black hole is just a super massive neutron star. Eventually, the strong gravitation pull of these objects attracted the matter which was in local surrounding of the black hole to create galaxies.

  • i deeply respect dr. Kaku but some of his ideas are crazy as hell,

  • I was in a bad mood so I decided to watch this for a few good laughs. I feel all better now. =]

  • @MasterChieeff Well that's a shame for you then. Get help. You know you're not well when you can't remember something from one day ago?

  • @NotJames1 i don't remember. cocain'es a hell of a drug

  • the mere fact that human minds have even come up with these theories stuns me

  • Question: what came first the chicken or the egg

Answer: dinosaurs laying eggs long before the chicken.

  • @45dfghjk1 why? there are MANY MANY physicists better than him

    he just has more influence

  • @ricktbdgc Actually black holes simply is a huge dense mass created with many nearby stars colliding to create a mass of incredible gravitational power.

  • What a stupid question of course the black hole was created first only then did the stars rotate around it. It's like asking whether the Sun or the planets from first. Obviously the Sun was present first.

  • @OverLordSky You dont need to be rich to make yourself a name in Science bro. Start working on Papers and publish some and youll get there.

  • I bet the Pentagon didn't want him to say that.

  • @MasterChieeff Right? What's your point?

  • @NotJames1 according to newtonian mechanics, our galaxy would spin apart
