Patriot Days at Yellow Creek Park July 2nd

Picnics. Pioneer Village. Prizes. Free pocket-sized editions of the United States Constitution! These are a few examples of what the Rand Paul Campaign is looking forward to at this years Owensboro Kentucky Patriot Days Celebration.

The purpose of this fun-filled event is to educate young people about the principles our founding fathers held and defended so heroically. This emphasis on the foundation on which our country was built coincides perfectly with Dr. Pauls belief in small, limited government, a government for and by the people. In their efforts to convey this important message to all attendees, the volunteers hosting the event will pass out pocket Constitutions to all guests.

In addition to the good food, games, displays, and gifts, Dr. Paul will take a few moments to speak to those gathered about his exciting new campaign and the return to true Republican roots which he desires to bring to Washington. All who are Rand Paul supporters or who want to set aside a day to celebrate our countrys principles of freedom are invited to attend. Simply bring a picnic and some blankets or lawn chairs, or you may choose to take advantage of one of the park shelters instead.

According to the Owensboro Patriot Days blog, Patriot Days will be celebrated in Pioneer Village at Yellow Creek Park. The details are as follows:

Date: Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Time: 4:00 PM 8:00 PM

Address: 5710 Hwy 144, Owensboro, KY 42303

Website: owensboropatriotdays.blogspot.com

The events website contains planning updates and lovely photos of the parks village and shelters as well.

The Patriot Days venue, purpose, and activities are designed for an evening of family-centered fun and education. Come celebrate our country, our independence, and the hope that Dr. Rand Paul gives us for our governments future.

  • @radicallychanged - I think your assumption that the "liberal dems" are the ones killing the Constitution makes you seem a bit ignorant on the matter. .

So, if I can extrapolate your statement for a second. Lets kick the Liberal Dems out of power, and lets go back to the way things were? (i.e George Bush tripling the size of the federal government) Maybe re-think your statement a bit because it could possibly reflect poorly upon a lot of us involved in the Liberty Movement.

  • great speech Rand!

  • @mlawson84 You weren't listening he said both parties. Party faction is a great evil. That is why I try to keep myself at a safe distance from the parties, so that I can make a right decision not bigoted by party faction.

  • Wow, this is the first time I heard someone in a political position talk about the difference between a Republic & a Democracy. Rand may be the one.

  • I was about to ask the same question.

  • where's the rest of the speech??? This man rocks my world!!!

  • this was incredibly well said - and so powerfully true.

  • Restore the Republic!

  • George Bush was a liberal Dem. Or at least spent like one.

  • Wooohoo!! Tell it Rand!

  • Love it! Run Rand Run!

  • Tell it, Rand. The few negative comments only prove your point: ignorance of what comprises the foundation of our country.

Keep up the good work !
