Would you campare a Camaro with a Ford GT? NO! So why do some Stang fans try to compare Stangs to Vetts? Apples and oranges people!!!!

Vetts hang with Ford GTs (The later GT 40, NOT Mustang GTs), and Vipers while Mustangs hang with Camaros and Challengers, (they are similar cars a similar feel). BTW, I know because I own both A 08 Shelby GT500KR and an 06 Z06. I like both cars but there is nothing to compare between them!!!

@Blank101ful but they're two totally different cars. i hate how people compare them. the camaro is the mustang's rival not the vette.

@Punisher7121 Hmmm, well I know the new Z06 ran 7:23 around the nurburgring track, and they're saying it's due to the new magnetic ride management out of the ZR1 and now availible in the Z06. And I've heard the same about the supersnake, a 750hp version and a 800hp version. But which is suppose to be running in the 11's?

@TiconderogaX I own a 5.0 now, but definitely have respect for GM as my previous vehicle was an LS1 Camaro and I loved the LT1 TA I had years back. 2012 Z06, I'm reading info from chevy.com. Chevy's site has 0-60 times for the 12 Z06 same as the 2011, which leads me to believe the 1/4 will be really close to the same also. Super Snake I've read from 11.7 to 11.8. The 750HP version of Super Snake can be had for 30K on top of the Cobra price, which should be right at or under 50K for coupe.

@Punisher7121 Wow. You're probably the first Ford guy who has made an honest calculation of the new SuperSnake. The Z06's use to run 11.6, but now they use the same suspension as the ZR1 and are suppose to be quite a bit faster now. I can't find an accurate source for the Z06's new time in the 1/4 mile, but I would say 11.4 is a fair estimate. Also I was arguing with someone the other day about the super snake and decided to look up the cost. It's actually $80k ontop of the $30k for a donor 5.0.

@TiconderogaX What I read has the Z06 running 11.5-11.6 and the Super Snake running 11.7-11.8. A Super Snake is 30K on top, so it'll put it around 80K. It is about 5K more than the Z06, but the price and times are a little closer than you indicated. Not saying the Super Snake is better, just that the vehicles are comparable.

@Punisher7121 The Z06 is $75k runs 11.4? I'm not to sure, but I know the 2012's are faster than the old ones that ran 11.6. The Super Snake is $40k on top of the $50k for the GT500 and runs 11.9. I wouldn't say that's close, not at those speeds.
