I do a short review on the VGA Cable Adapter for the Xbox 360,
Pros - Works great, plug it into a spare DVI port on your monitor, also comes with a DVI female to female if you can't do that. Great HD picture quality on good resolution.
Cons - The $40 price tag is alot.
Overall - Great to buy if you don't own a HD tv at all and got a ready Computer LCD screen.
Note: For Audio it comes with RCA to 3.5mm Male adapter, if you want to plug in your speakers to it get a 3.5mm Female to Female for $3 at Radioshack.
@LightninLew I found one online for $5 hahaha $20 pshhhhhh rip off

I got one for about £20, and it doesn't work right at all. It gives me a tripe image fading off to the right. I can't figure out why, does this happen if the cable/connections are bad?

@UnHolyFurBall I found out I had some jenky third-party cable. I later bought the official one new in the package from Microsoft and it's worked perfectly for months.

@JordanK3lly I have the same problem but with a LCD 17" wide TFT monitor. (1280x720 res)

@64ismael xD, no, a dvi port is way different than a VGA port. A VGA wire with do into a VGA port. Common sense buddy.

just to make sure so this VGA cable will connect into a DVI port right?

I'm using this on my computer monitor but I've noticed the text and outlines of certain things is a little bit odd looking. It looks like a faded silhouette in the background. It's tolerable to look at but can be a little distracting. I'm using 1920x1080 as my computer recommends it. I've tryed messing around with my monitor's settings and my Xbox's settings but nothing has worked thus far. Any advice would be appreciated.

@TheKillswitch55 i assume youve found an answer elsewhere by now but - no, you dont have to have anything else hooked up to the monitor (aside from power)

Does the Monitor have to be connected to the computer? I have a nice monitor that I would like to use but not a computer to connect to
