@krrreten Sakura (in Naruto) is frustratingly lame in some parts of the series. It depends on how far along you are. That said, I still like the flowers and the socializing and drinking that takes place under them across Japan every year.

@krrreten the only thing that there is lame here is you !!
Thumps up if you are with me !!

Hana-mi should be translated as 'Flower Gazing.'
karunamrita 7 months ago
@karunamrita There is no definitive "should" when translating something poetic. You can have an opinion but here is why I used "flower viewing:" 1) I was told that translation in Japan by Japanese who used their own dictionaries. 2) Mayjay, Apple's dictionary, my Cannon wordtank, etc. use "flower viewing."
3) 見 is not limited to 花見 (flower viewing) but also works with other things, like 月見 (moon-viewing) or 雪見(snow viewing). 4) In Japan no one "gazes;" they keep them in view as they drink お酒.

@9972jonathan Look for shamisen or koto or maybe a kokyu. Your best bet is to look for "traditional japanese music."
Happy hunting.
