This is a re-creation of the original closing cues to The Lawrence Welk Show, using The Bubble Pro Party Machine. Video was captured using an old Sony 8mm camcorder attached to a Dazzle 80 digital video creator. The software used was the TMPGEnc video encoder, and the Ulead Video Studio. The cues are a blend of production crew members over the show's entire 27 year timeline. Originally, the closing credits were rolled over the bubbles floating around the open air.

  • Mr. Lawrence Welk was of a different time then some people here. I used to watch his show with my grandparents, back when things were cleaner unlike some of the garbage "talent" of today. R.I.P.

  • I had the honor of meeting Mr. Welk in Boston back in l977 when he was doing a book tour. He was the same in person as on the show...charming, personable, and made you feel as though he was glad to see you. his show was probably one of the last of TV's 'all-family entertainment' programs.

  • OMG!! my grammy use to watch Lawrence Welk!! fond memories of her singing with him!!

  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. The Lawrence Welk Show was the greatest! A treat for the whole family.

  • Jus' wunnerful! Great job and thanks for posting! Hated the show when I was little, but kinda' like it now... guess it's just nostalgia talking! My grandma and mom never missed it and my dad grew to like it too!

  • How could they have done this show with two camera operators? I remember three, and of the two listed, one was misspelled - it's Jim Balden, who I believe married one of the performers on the show.

  • @jaraha Well, I AM old enough to remember the original black and white shows as well as the Dodge sponsor.

  • @etbella3 Do you think Welk was really a skirt chaser? And why are you attributing that to his being German? When it comes to men desiring intimate contact with women, it tends to transcend race/ancestrial heritage.

  • @welkcirswe Lawrence Welk, like all good Germans, believed in discipline of the mind, soul, pussy connection. The bubbles represent the growing waistlines of America, home of the McBlubber burger. If Lawrence's hot angels gained any weight they were restricted from the show. But Lawrence still used them for pussy.

  • What's the font of "Lawrence Welk"?
