Yeah, I don't really play this game as much as the others. It's because I can't really be too sure how long I'll be playing this, since the game takes a very long time to find a match. It's weird, since a month ago or so, Nintendo seemingly had it fixed--and now, it's back to the way it was before. I'll bet it'll be even worse once the holidays actually come around. (Hanukkah hasn't started yet, has it?)
Match #1 Captain Falcon Rumble Falls I was asked to use Caltain Falcon on a stage, and as soon as I went online, I also got the stage I wanted: Rumble Falls. I don't know which stage annoys Final Destinationers more: this one or WarioWare. It ultimately hurt my partner in this Team Battle more than it helped me--I had no problems with the scrolling at all, though THIS jungle was too much for Snake.
Match #2 Samus Lylat Cruise I must confess; I spammed Samus's Missiles quite a bit. But it's probably a lot more annoying to see R.O.B. constantly do that hand-spinning thing. I found the missiles to be a good counter for that, and I was hoping the entire match for R.O.B. to lay it off, which was why I was using the missiles. Didn't happen. But I did get to KO R.O.B. without him ever KOing me. Zelda did most of the finishing off, which is good for me.
Match #3 Ike Spear Pillar I was also asked if I could play as Ike in Spear Pillar. It took a while, but here it is. If you're still here. This particular group of players gets on my nerves a bit, as they're pretty good at KO stealing. I rarely got any KOs in this room, as everybody seems to know exactly what their range is. Or maybe I move around a lot more and do a lot more pursuing. Whatever the case, they're also pretty good at throwing me into Cresselia's Psycho Cut attacks.
Match #4 Ganondorf Smashville I heard that the time of day in Smashville is dependent on whoever chose the stage. I guess that's true, considering this is evening in this match, but in a later Smashville match, it was dawn. It paid off to withhold the Final Smash for some time, as I was able to catch Mario and Mr. Game & Watch with it.

You can say One thing, The Spear Pillar has great music! Victory Road, Team Galactic Battle! & Route 209 all in the same stage? That's just spoiling us.
What about Lylat Cruise? It's stable and free of obstacles.
I play on every course though. The more gimmicky, the more fun they are for me. When I see too much of a certain stage (usually Final Destination or Bridge of Eldin), I pick the most gimmicky stages to throw them off. I can survive on Rumble Falls and Mario Bros. with no problem, as well as Big Blue, Flat Zone 2, and Spear Pillar with Palkia in the back.
It takes skill to beat someone in FD. It takes no skill on maps like Mario Bros. where the turtles can steal your skills and do all the work for you etc etc.. Lylat Cruise? Yeah, I was just saying a few of the top of my head.
I actually like the gimmicky ones when I'm playing with 3 other people from my school. It's really funny to hear my friends swearing their heads off down the phone when they get killed by a turtle on Mario Bros.
For 1on1s, I ALWAYS pick either: FD, Smashville or BF
I play for fun. I'm not competitive. Losing doesn't faze me. That's why I love playing on the super-gimmicky courses no matter if I'm playing online or offline. (I also like to play with Items on Very High, since that's when Smash Bros. is at its most chaotic.) You can say that I care about the journey, not the destination.
I didn't always hate Final Destination. Then, when I went online with Brawl, it was chosen more than any other stage combined, by a longshot. I just had too much of it.
I don't have very many 1-on-1s, so I don't really know what I like on those sorts of matches. (I prefer to have 4 players around, since I like my Smash Bros. crazy.)

SSBB is fun with Items or very high with 4 players (in my opinion).
Isn't any fun at all for 1on1s.
