A corrected version of previous videos. This is a 1911 Singer treadle machine bought by my grandmother in the 30s. She passed it along to my mum, who passed it to me. It's my favourite thing ever.

I've started scanning the manual! Find it here: http://bit.ly/mXiviO
I use this machine often. Please visit my store at http://madfishmarket.etsy.com
Thanks for watching!

  • Please, could you scan the manual user? thanks!!! and publish

  • @sibenitez I have, please click the link I provided, it won't let me post a link in the comments.

  • @madfishmonger Ugh, sorry, apparently I can't seem to figure out how to add a link in to the manual. However, I have linked it in the video description

  • hi i have the model that you have the manual for however i have no bobin s do you know where to get them or what i would tipe in to ebay if i was to look there regards ian

  • @imackay84 I found some online, but it won't let me post links. Try sewing machine parts dot net.

Search for "treadle bobbin" , "bullet bobbin" or "barbell bobbin"

  • @imackay84 Also make sure to measure your machine or read the manual to ensure you're getting the right size.

  • any ideas on where to find parts for the wooden cabinet..many sites i have seen have the metal parts and the books and such; the machine i got today is missing the drawers, and the side drawer sections....its the singer 15 treadle with the sphinx decorations, similar to yours but the older version with the bobbin attachments higher...any information on that would be greatly appreciated

  • big thanks for uploading this. My machine has the same Sphynx decorations just as yours! but is from 1924. It was bought in France a month ago and is in such amazing condition I didn't know weather to start learning how to use it or just keep staring at it. It's so gorgeous! It's good to know what the little parts are for. Thanks.

  • you rock so much for posting this thank you immensely!

  • Excuse me i have the same sewing machine, could you tell me where i could possably get the manual for one?
