had not idea of other potential weaknesses in the design work on gyros, the one that always bothered me was the mechanism that holds the rotor bearing and rotor head in place. It was my luck that I read of two "bearing" failures several years ago. (exp[lained as ball corrosion at the time). This doesn't count the one where the assembly of the head was missing a cotter pin - rotor came off right after take off. Very good to know, thanks
