This video didn't turn out the way I imagined it to be, but I did the best I could to make it look realistic.
This is very AU. Rory and Jess had a rocky relationship and every fight they had was mostly Rory's fault. After their breakup, Jess left. Jess comes back later on down the road and has a little argument with Rory after she apologizes for everything. He says it's too late.
He leaves again. Rory comes and visits him so they patch things up. She kisses him and then tells him she is still with her boyfriend. She again tells him sorry and he again says it's too late for that.
This time when Rory leaves, Jess gets into an accident. He is rushed to the hospital. Rory goes to see him when she can, even though he is unconscious. On her way to see him one night she gets a call to tell her he passed away. So in the end it was too late for her to apologize.

Oh I think that was the first episode of season 5. After Rory sleeps with Dean and he leaves she calls his house phone. His wife answers and she gets upset realizing that she was the 'other woman'
