how do you select more than one pixel? im trying to make a field of grass but it keeps saying "no lines are less than %50 out," or not selecting anything =( help?

Wonderful site! Thanks for the education! Does this version of photo shop offer colored filters, and if so, can a variety of colors be used on one photo at the same time?
