Another great memory - while most of it is a smooth Joe Raposo score, it is 'punctuated' by a kazoo tune wthat accompanies the little bird swimming by.
When I was growing up (70s & 80s) there were many beautiful wild birds to be seen not far from my city. Today that's hardly the case. It's sad that's the way things are going.
I remember this, especially the very last part - it's cute how the 'kazoo-like' music accompanied the little bird swimming by the pelican who was perched on the post. Good old Raposo days!
Pelicans are cool, so is this song. When I was a kid, I wondered why that little duck got that silly kazoo solo. I thought there had to be some deep hidden meaning there that I just couldn't pick up on. Meanwhile, my brother was just laughing at it.
Everytime I see the pelicans in the zoo I think of this. That goes for other animal films like this. Tell me, Who can not love these. I am 35 and I still remember these and watch and sing along with them. Or while I at the zoo, they will come to me.
I always wondered if the kazoo solo at the end had a natural ending, has anyone ever heard this on any audio collection of SS songs and heard anything longer than what we hear here??

However, at the very end, when the kazoo sound accompanied the little pelican swimming by, I told myself 'I KNOW I've seen this!'
