Sully Rocks
July 2002

After breaking up 10 years earlier, the Love Cowboys got together several years ago and played a handful of tunes. Pretty hilarious footage of friends and the groove. After a 2 hour get together the night before, figured what the hell...

  • Hell yeaaaahs!

So much love to the Love Cowboys. Sang along while I watched this like I was still bouncing up and down at the Balcony back in 90. Thanks to KK for letting me know this was on here and to Nes for posting it.

So you've got two Reeces Peanut Butter Cups....

  • thanks! Come to Oxford on Nov. 6 - we've decided to play a gig or two that weekend before they tear down the Balcony. And it looks like our friends, the Mystic Groovies, will be joining us!

  • @TexasMillers Hey Texas, Carlton and Mr.B have posted some RC Mob vids this year. They give me the same feelings as these vids.....warm nostalgia of fun times :)

  • Loved these cats when i was in school at Witt. Saw them play a few times in Akron and Cleveland as well. Funk it to death motherfuckers. Bought their CDs and just ripped them to my computer. So I can relive the awesome that was (is) The Love Cowboys!

  • Here's what happened when Jordie hit every note of his impossibly tricky little outro guitar lick: the crowd breathed an anxious sigh of relief, and with it came the awesome universal realization that, "F*ckin' A Right! WE still got it !!!"

Consider it he would have ganked it up, like most of us would, given the chance. But he didn't, and in that instant I think I see a lot of good people encouraged to cling to what they hold dear.

  • Horticulture is wicked too!

  • kind comments! this was a great party, and a great chance to play again with close friends. my favorite parts are seeing the crowd and their faces, especially becky. we loved to play, even sloppily. -Saltine

  • oh man! Stumble on this while looking for "Get on the Bus" (anybody know where to hear that again?) by the royal crescent mob. As a fellow musician who had a band in Oxford in those days, I can say that we were all in absolute AWE of the cowboys' funky grooves and impecable technique & timing. Wish they'd had a chance to make a record for a major label--so much better than most of what was being put out at the time. Alas, funk gave way to Nirvana....

  • This is one of my favorites! Hey, its Wiggum!
