@Pajarillo57 I'm sorry but i think you missed the point here....i was not saying about the playing (that i enjoyed) but about the coment that says that you have to go to a colombian cafe to feel the latin america feeling....

Before saying to me anything about the tempos etc. I reccomend to listen Villa-Lobos' own interpretation of this Choro. You can find it on the record called "Villa-Lobos - Intérprete Choros Nº 1 E Outras Peças (1970)". I'm tired of reading stupid critics who think they know the last true.

Thank you dear!
Most of those critics are unconstructive. They say it should be played slower because they can't play it in a good tempo themselves. They don't feel the piece and its mood and can't express its energy. So I never mind such kind of critics. I like Alirio Diaz interpretation and it is in a good fast tempo. Every one is free to play the piece as he feels . Teach yourself - don't teach me! I am a teacher myself. You better show your version instead of teaching...

Thanks, dear Andrey! Brilliant, vivid and passionate playing! Pure rich sound and lots of feeling put into it! P.S. It would be great if all those critics here sometimes used not only their intellect but also their heart... P.P.S. Music - is a dream which has come true, not a matter of arguing... It's something unearthly, so let us not clip its wings with our own clumsy hands!
I really like this interpretation- it's much more of a Brazillian feel than most guitarists give it. The "accepted" way seems to be to play it very straight, like an Elizabethan lute tune, with no syncopation. Your interpretation is much closer to Villa-Lobos own.

Good technique and great sound but I feel that your mind while playing it was more into a flamenco concept than an actual Latin American feeling. I don't hear any volume levels on your playing makes it almost plain from beginning to the end.I think you should have some Colombian cafe look at Latin American black and white movie and then. But I guess if this how you feeling about this song and that's your way to play it. As I heard it before there is no wrong ways only different ways to do things.

Friend, you may like or dislike my interpretation of this piece - that's your own... I'd like to see how you would tell the same words to Alirio Diaz or Lobos himself, who were my inspirations for this piece. Tell them about Colombian, black and white etc.!!! Instead of finding what you don't like in others' interpretations you'd better showed your own interpretation of this piece. People then could compare our interpretations.

@reygalindo ...c'mon man.....latin america is not the same everywhere.....Villa Lobos is a brazilian composer...We have many differences from the rest of the continent. why go to a colombian cafe? Colombian music is far different from the brazilian music. our culture as well. We may have some of the same social e economic problems, but the rest is not. So, search a little and you'll be amazed about how large it's our country and our culture.

OK, you don't like my interpretation. Well, don't watch it. Watch those you like, OK? I love Brasilian music and play a lot of it. I also watch sometime Brasilians playing their own music. And sometime they do it so badfly...So what? Have you listened to Raphael Rabello who played at enormous speed? Tell him about Colombian cafe!!! It's a pity he is not alive...
