APEGBC Sea to Sky Branch
9th annual
popsicle stick bridge building contest

2 years ago Brieghann & her grandpa entered
this year Truman (age 6, grade 1) & his dad (me) built & entered our own bridges
Truman's was the very first bridge to be tested this year

The Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC who organize this annual event, again did a wonderful job.

mine held 417.3 newtons (approx 94lbs)
Truman's 142.2 newtons (approx 32lbs)

a high school student (Kyle Martin) built the strongest bridge
holding to 4885.7 newtons of force (approx 1,098lbs)
can you believe it?
