Many people have asked why we don't use snipers more in our sessions. I thought I'd make a little video showing The Art of Sniping, as I see it. Hopefully this educational video can help to enlighten the would-be snipers in the audience!

Hey Dslyexci, I was thinking about throwing you a joining application (fully knowing the probability of getting in) but the thing is, when I play on certain multiplayer servers in Arma 2 OA, I literally get like 18-20 frames which makes it unplayable for me. So my question to you, is your server well optimized? Has there been anyone saying that the server you play on gives them low frame rates? Thanks, and once again good video!

Having a high number of players in a scenario is performance-intensive, generally speaking.

Anyone know the modlist for this? Not ACE cause there's the hip-shooting reticle...

"hip-shooting" is a fallacy. There is no "hip-shooting" animation in ArmA. You always have the weapon shouldered.

As to the mods, they are ACE2, ACRE, various islands, various ST inhouse mods.

Sniping shows one of the big flaws of arma, it's that objects in a distance are easier to spot than at close range. (has to do with the grass rendering off course) Unlike real life, where it's the other way round.

Google some clans, they usually have some servers up (public and members only) Find one that best suits you and the way you like playing!

There are none. I host a server for me and my friends but that's it, you are stuck with Takistani life, wasteland or dayz. The ArmA2 community has been raped, I'd recommend getting ArmA3, as it is the only chance to play something that isn't those braindead gametypes. Oh Domination sucks too.

Recommendation, you don't have to do it if ya don't want to, but, I would like to see a mission where there is either sniper cover for the enemy or the allies. It would seem interesting to me because I always see the sniper's perspective and not the target or ground unit's.
