@thefowles1 Im not trolling. Just expressing my opinion. I dont see how any college level musician can look at this as a good performance. The band badly overblows and has intonation problems. Little if any discipline on the field. I know you guys enjoy what you do, but you could put a lot more effort into doing it right. This band could be great. I marched mello in this band for 3 years, so I think I am entitled to make comments about your performance. I was once in your shoes.

For the record, those who are in it love it. That's all that matters.
Your opinions are meaningless.

@TheVolunteer13 Troll harder.
If you don't like it, then leave.

@thefowles1 I can see where bhkidd is coming from. When they removed the audition requirement for the BOB, it killed any chance of attracting top-level talent. I was sitting with my son in the McGavock band a couple of years ago, and he was laughing at how bad the BOB is. I marched mello under Joe Smith, and I second bhkidd's emotion. It is pitiful when Siegel High School has a better band than the largest university in the state. Craig Cornish must go.

"Rolling their eyes"... bahaha, what rubbish. The only high school kids who "roll their eyes" at this are the ones who have egos bigger than the number of students in this band.
"The band is considered a joke"? Oh, really? By how many arrogant scumbags with their heads up their asses?
I swear, people take the small percentage of negativity and make it seem like it's prominent.
After all, sitting next to the "eye rollers" were kids saying "this is the best thing ever".

@spooner07uk September 6th is fairly early in the season, so they may not have had the show entirely done.

Haters gonna hate. After all, nobody is loved by everyone.
@bhkidd You keep on putting down the Band of Blue as much as you want. All you are doing is labeling yourself as the proof that they're spectacular. Mediocrity goes unnoticed, while being extraordinary, as is exemplified here, will rattle the bones of some egotistical perfectionist who degrades everything that doesn't go exactly how he wants it, even if it's amazing.
Rock on, Band of Blue. You are awesome and always will be.

one 5 minute song?

@futurecav2008 And that is why the BOB is in the crapper right now. Last Contest of Champions I attended, the HS kids I was sitting with (band parent now) were rolling their eyes at how bad the BOB was. Too bad, really. With these resources, they could give Jacksonville State or UNA a run for their money. But they settle for this.
you all were awesome thanks for a great show
