Something that might remind them of their past trauma and/or abuse they suffered, when they were younger.
When something reminds them of it, they switch into another personality and block the memory.

hmm, how do you know he is not acting? I doubt a personality would be evil. d.i.d. comes from trauma and those personalities holds pain, but are not evil. I wonder if he is more likely a sociapath and playing with you. just a thought

im not sure if i have this but alot of what is said about it is me!! and i dont like to talk about my past much it was most just a blank and dead for about 4years and cant really remeber much but some thing make me think about them and i dont know why but it gets shut away and i feel like there someone els in control for me who can i see to help??????????????????????????

@embracefilms Some are very protective and my seem evil if they feel who they are protecting is threatened in anyway. I wonder if perhaps that is possible that the alter just does not trust his girlfriend and she might trigger him to be vicious to her.
Anybody else ever heard of an "evil protective alter" please thumb up.
