The only Daihatsu Charmant i ever saw was a green 1600 5 door in Egypt that overtook our tour bus to Alexandria and that moved fast.
Here where in Portugal they were never on sale but we got its cousin called Toyota Carina of the mid 1980s. There were 3 models the Charmant 1300, the Charmant 1600 and Charmant 2000 that was the least known and rarer version their bad points were a rough suspension and a noisy engine as most Toyota cars are. Toyota owns Daihatsu.
