I've decided that doing drum covers without giving credit to the original drummer is disrespectful. So I will in every upcoming cover include a little bio and links to the drummer who I am attempting to cover. Too often people who do covers are given credit and kudos for playing something someone else wrote. So this is my way of paying tribute.
Drummer bio from Wikipedia:
Jordan "Ratbeard" Hastings (born March 15, 1982 Hamilton, Ontario and raised in Burlington, Ontario)[1] is the current drummer for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire,[2] after replacing founding member, and former drummer for the band, Jesse Ingelevics.
Former projects
Hastings was previously the drummer for the Burlington-based bands Jersey, Chapter One, and Hoodrat, none of which are currently active. Jordan's new side project is Hunter,[3] which includes two members of Moneen.
This song was pretty tough. There are a couple of places where I'm a little off and I come in early on the last break and the last fill....Ah well still learning.
Hard to hear the drums on the original track and tabs were hard to find and I thought unnacurate. I pretty much did a lot to make it my own rather than go nuts trying to match note for note. Especially when I don't have a china cymbal.
