Fear and Loathing in Gonzovision (Part 3)

"Fear and Loathing on the Road to Hollywood" (1978) also known as "Fear and Loathing in Gonzovision" is a short documentary produced by BBC Omnibus (basically, arty British tv series). It pictures Hunter S. Thompson in the late 70's, when he was eventually getting bigger than life. It was directed by Nigel Finch.

This smoothly directed road trip movie pairs Thompson with his inseparable fellow, famous illustrator, Ralph Steadman. The party travels to Hollywood via Death Valley and Barstow from Las Vegas being closely pictured by BBC crew and certainly interviewed at the spot.

This is a rarity and must-see for die-hard fans!

Hunter S. wasn't living in a dream world, he was the perfect example of reality. he embodied the evolved american dream and the freedom to function under this ridiculously silly concept of a political system. Ps Nick were not all fat rednecks that watch reality TV so eat a big mac, pump your fist, spray on a tan, shut the fuck up and lets have a whiskey and gun day in commemoration of hunter s.
