  • @adamsmike1982 Assuming you are right handed, set your right foot back (heel moving backward) a little bit, which will set you up for a draw. Basically, your stance and shoulders should line up toward the right of your target, and your club face should stay facing toward the target. Now, swing down your shoulder line (inside out swing), and it will draw left to right. That will also play better in the wind anyway, and that is what I usually do.

  • @budj1e - Was responding to another post when I read your comment. Your spot on....

Part of the problem with putting the ball "back in your stance" is that the club tends to come into impact too steep - increasing backspin on full swings. Kinda defeats the punch-shot when hitting into the wind. Try taking more club, grip down & swing easy.

  • I don't understand what he means by inches.

  • my distances are right on with this shot and it definately will stay low, my problem is a little bit of a slice or fade towards the end of the flight. Any tips?

  • Hi mark i am strugling with this shot whenever i play it, it always turns into a big hook do you have any tips to stop that? i seem to be releasing it with my hands. Also can you show me the correct way to place the hands ahead of the club, do you open the clubface by putting the hands in front or keep the face square when delofting it??

  • another top vid Mark, but can u explain why you wouldn't just use a less lofted club and grip down a bit? then you wouldn't have to make any setup changes. I'm new to the game if this is a daft question!
