I always felt an empathy with the donkeys present...growing up in the Guyana countryside. These hard working creatures provide sustainable transportation in many parts of the developing world and should be better appreciated.
Wow, thanks so much for this one, dear David!!! My oldest son is approaching his 30th birthday and it seems only yesterday he was singing and dancing this song. Beautiful memories and may donkeys continue to live and share the world for many many years. Hugs, love and peace.♫☼☺☻♥♪

Beautiful song! It also makes me think of a song I heard on a TV show called "Sing, Children, Sing" hosted by Tony Saladan... "Tingalayo"...

There's a beautiful French film about a donkey (sad, but beautiful) called "Au Hasard Balthasar". I highly recommend it.
