Adrian Peterson trucks Steelers William Gay - NFL 10/25/09

I'm not saying AD's a bad RB. I just think you're crazy to say he's top 3 all time when he's barely played 40 games. He might end up being the best ever. But that hasn't happened yet, don't kid yourself that it has.

But do you ever hear their names mentioned in GOAT? NO, because there's no longevity, except maybe in LT's case. How about AD's inconsistency, where was his "runover power" against the cards? He ran backwards on 7 friggine plays! He'll run wild for 200 yards on 20 carries, then crap it up the next week for a 2.5 average. Seriously how can you say he's better than Jim Brown, that JB was just "decent in his day", there was NO ONE better. Decent. What a joke.

It's hard to believe that even the most insane vik-queens lover would even make such a crazy statement. Jim Brown was a man among boys, and he destroyed defenses for over a decade. AD is an excellent player yes, but top 3 RB of all time? He hasn't even played 3 seasons! What about Priest Holmes, Shaun Alexander, LT. Those guys all had some ridiculous stretches, MORE impressive than AD's when especially when you factor in the amount of times Peterson fumbles the ball.

get serious on the jim brown statement; have you seen adrian peterson play? he is playing against bigger, faster, stronger defenders; jim brown was decent in his day but AP is easily owning the league right now and very few RB's have his physique, stamina, and runover power that he portrays every sunday; he is a physical specimen that is just magnificient to watch

I hate William Gay and Tyrone Carter.  Those guys get burned all the time and William Gay is always getting trucked by everybody. He got trucked by his own guy today (Ryan Mundy). The rest of the Steelers D is phenominal though.
