NOTE: I do NOT own this song, ALL rights go to (c) Virgin Record, their affiliates and Janet Jackson.

Now, I was not aware my friend was recording this at first, I didn't ask her to, but since she did, I figured I should definitely post it. :D This is definitely my favorite ballad that Janet Jackson has done. I am not certain if I said this before, but I LOVE Janet Jackson, at least her earlier stuff, I am not a fan of the oversexed image that started with the album this came from, but I did enjoy this album, and "The Velvet Rope", but my favorite album is "Rhythm Nation 1814" :)

What's is portrayed in this song, has NEVER happened to me, as I was a total virgin before I got married. :) Well, minus the sex, I have felt that way about guys that left and then came back in to my life repeatedly, so I do relate to it in that way. :)

  • This is a beautiful rendition, Amy. I have done open Mike but as I'm an instrumentalist at heart, I wouldn't feel comfortable with karaoke. I'd love to see you perform like you do at home. That would really get a reaction.

  • @geoff1945 Thank you much! :D Yeah... I'm working on that. ;P At times I do, I guess it depends on the song. I actually did dance on a different Janet song the same night, but I didn't have it recorded, so I very much am trying to get more comfortable "being myself", at the same time, I don't want my theatrics to overshadow my singing since that might be the only time someone hears me, then again I am prone to over thinking, but I working hard on "performing" more when I sing in public. :D

  • @thewordthatpierces - 'Over thinking' You are right. It would spoil the experience for yourself if you had to think everything out before you got up to sing. I believe we sing because it makes us feel good foremost and then if others hear and benefit that is when we share the gift and the pleasure. Later, some of us begin to do it for a living and still enjoy it including the nervous energy. Who needs drugs when you can get a high in this honest and creative way?

  • @geoff1945 This is why you are so AWESOME!!! You speak the truth! :D:D:D Thank you! I really appreciate your words and your friendship. :)
