This photo compilation is made up from two visits to Scotland. Some very nice sceneries when driving around.
On both occassions we did visit the Strathisla destillery. The last visit was on a special invite since we purchased
the 38 YO bottles. As such we were invited to enter the Royal Salute vault and sign up our names in the book.
And of course we had the honor to taste straight from the cask (both the 100 cask and 38YO, 25YO was not
launched at that time). We were the first "private" visitors. Till then only resellers and their customers had been
invited. I had a very hard time to put the right music under this slideshow. I did recall from the early nineties a
Whisky TV commercial with a specific soundtrack. I'm unsure for which Whisky brand it was though, but I expect
it was Jameson. Perhaps not a good idea to put the soundtrack of a Irish Whiskey commercial on this Scotch tribute. But hey, I simply liked that track and it would fit nicely. Apart from that, the soundtrack became quite well known due to the commercial and it ended up for a long time in the Dutch music charts. Trouble was, I had no clue what is was called but my memory said it sounded very much like Enya. Since she is Irish it would make sense as well. So I waisted a lot of valueable time in listning to much Enya tracks. More than a normal human being can handle.
Funny enough this reminded me of an episode of Married with Childeren where Al Bundy was haunted by a song. He could only remember a phrase started like "hmm hmm him". In fact I just searched this on Google and found this episode instantly:

Anyway, when I had enough of Enya I started to search the nineties top 40 charts to see if I could relate it back somehow. Again, quite a task to walk through the charts as I was not sure which year it was exactly. Any song title or group I could not remember I simply searched on Youtube and listened to recognize it. Then, finally, I found it. It was Clannad with "Theme from Harry's game". Typical, Clannad is Irish as well, so I'm pretty sure it must have been a Jameson commercial.
So I downloaded it and put it under the slideshow and uploaded the whole lot on Youtube. And surprise, the music was removed by Youtube as it appearred to be right protected or so. Youtube was so nice to offer other music suggestions though. So I picked something from the "folk" genre. Interestingly there was a song about Aberdeen. Couldn't have been more appropiate since Chivas originated from this place ...
