Dont buy into the union propaganda: if they were really doing their job, why would they be spending so much money just to keep individuals from choosing for themselves whether or not the union has their best interests at heart? Dont stifle individual freedoms. Amendment 47 is important for Colorado workers.

    Thanks,

    Krista

  • I am on the side that allows for individual freedom for each and every worker in Colorado. Even if a union exists, I want to ensure that they are working for Colorados best interests, not the best interests for furthering union political go-to guys. In a current state where up to 80% of union dues go towards political issues and campaigns, I question the necessity of paying union dues.

  • If you take a union job today, the reason your wage is higher is because of the bargining power of the union and what they have won for workers already. Why should you have the right to take a job, not join the union, but keep the higher wage that the union has already raised. Not to metion if the union strikes and gets an even better wage in the future then your wage goes up even if your not a member of that union- that is what we call freeloading.

  • If 80% of your union dues went towards political issues, the union would cease to exist. That is a fact.

  • if you look at the facts you'd realize that both sides are spending millions of dollars on this issue - so i say to you don't believe big business propaganda - and you might want to check your facts concerning the 80% of union dues going towards political issues - unions are for the people and by the people and have the interest of the workers in mind - who do you think all these millionares are looking out for? it isn't the hard working middle class of colorado - 47 is bad for colorado

  • no one is forced to join a union - union representation is voted in by a majority of workers in a workplace - a prime example of democracy and furthermore amendment 47 should be called "right to work for less" - it favors big business by lowering the average wage employees earn - instead of fighting against the middle class working people - how about fighting against CEO's who make millions of dollars a year - who's side are you on anyways?
