  • Almost all fish here are of species that need 1. tanks greater 80-100 gal 2. be hold in groups of more individuals. The only fish that fit in this tank size are the N. caudopuncatus/multifasciatus.

Another point: South american Rainbow fish need absolutly contrair chemical water parameters than tanganjika chichlids ;) I only can assist on writing here, that everyone who really like to give their fish a comfortable home ton not do it this way!

  • Rainbowfish are from Australia and parts of Asia, and are very adaptive to PH changes and different ranges. they are an exelent "dither" fish for African Cichlid tanks. My Daffodil's were spawned in a 20 gal, and my featherfins already had mouth fulls of fry. no fish in there gets bigger then 6" and that would be the Tetracanthus. so yup. :)

  • ment to say the Tetracanthus dont get bigger then 8" sorry. :P

  • aaaaa i wish i could have a tank (or 2 or 10) where i live.....SO BAD!!!! :'(

    this is like...so pro!

i must say though....i despISE rainbow fish! it is an entirely irrational fickle dislike, but nevertheless... ;[

im still amazed you used this song! im also amazed i remembered it as soon as it started up, it's been ages since i listened to them!

  • Im a huge Fan of Dead Can Dance, I have quite a bit of their music, there is one song of theirs Im trying to find, maybe you can help, its called "the lotus eaters"????? eh??? I have a performance vid faved on my profile, but I love the song, but cant find it. as for the rainbowfish, I send you a private message cause I wrote to much to fit in here lol.

  • As for Rainbows, I do believe they prefer softer acidic water however fish keeping is a very grey hobby, there is alot you can do which isn't standard. It is very very common practice to use rainbows as a "dither" fish, this is most common in african tanks. They are good at taking aggression and their very inquisitive and playfull nature spreads through the tank calming the whole thing. When I put bosemani's in my 55g their attitude immediatley spread through the tank.

  • These fish in fact do Not require a tank as large as you recomend, the people who breed these fish in town keep them in 55g and 75g tanks with no problem. The featherfins shown here are fry from My trio and in fact are doing far better in this tank then they ever did in my 55g. Many of the fish in this tank are indeed recomended for a larger tank however I've watched this tank and they all do very well, better infact then I ever got my 4ft tank to do.

  • NO SHIT DEAD CAN DANCE!!!!!!!!!

just had to say that, back to video
