  • Hi Guys,

    Brilliant feedback - thank you all!

    I plan to do a video on the following game:-

    {Michael Adams vs Teimour Radjabov FIDE World

    Championship 2004 . Gunderam Defense: General (C40) .  1/2-1/2}

    So many comments and this video has been honoured as one of the most discussed in the Youtube entertainment section - wow! Well done guys, for promoting chess :)

  • Ratings are only a measure of past performance. The only thing that matters is strong moves on the board, which can occur if someone is 1200 or 2800. Players get intimidated by a rating and play passively essentially losing before they even have played a move. Forget the rating. Play strongs moves no matter who your opponent is. The idea of "Chess Strength" is a complete myth. The only thing that matters is good moves on the board. Aligned to this philosophy, expect better results.

  • great video! I think the idea of mixing opening strategy with GM games as well as games of your own is a real winner. Please continue, we all enjoy it.

  • great video on this system!! I used it on someone online on FICS and it got them out of book and I killed them and I was 200 points lower. Yeah d6 was a problem in my game. Do more videos on this opening. You should all your games on that chess board because the other one that's gray and white looks ugly and this one looks nice.

  • Thanks - looks like an interesting system I will give it a try.

  • what if white plays 2. d3 with the idea of Bg5? if black replies f6 a fianchettoed bishop would be hemmed in, Nf6 would pin his own knight?

    Thats what i would do as white.

  • What if @ 1:28 white takes blacks knight and black cant castle kingside anymore.

  • Hi KC! Nice and interesting video, very cool! You are absolutely right, the system is playable, I even remember Petrosian playing something similar (transposed) against Gufeld (I believe). I dont think white should try to refute black´s setup, but develop calmly, and mostly avoid castling right into black´s attack :). Sometimes black´s provocative moves cause a burst of overconfidence in white attacking players :P...

  • i've seen this sort of thing before, white should always delay castling kingside giving black a target.

  • lol at taking the queen

  • I generally play c3, d4 if black lags around, playing the Italian / Moller on line games. So I don't think it would affect me at all. Although it is interesting.

  • thanx ... why not try
