He was one of the smartest defenders I've ever seen play. He was also a natural born leader and an incredible hitter. There is a reason injuries derailed his career: he threw his body around with no mercy for himself and small frame couldn't handle it. Amazing, amazing player.

bears need to sign him for the last few games of this season so we can make the playoffs

@killfox101 It was but he played 15 games with his last season on the Bears and played a full successful season with the Chiefs and they still let him go. He still can play at a high level even at his age of 33. NFL is big on age discrimination.

Still one of my favorite bears. A big hitting, smart as hell safety that just enjoyed playing the game. Injuries was his downfall, but I enjoyed every second he was in a chicago bears uniform and I always will. Bear Down.

Good stuff, sir! I loved Mike Brown! It's just too bad he couldn't stay healthy. Otherwise, he'd still be a Bear today.

Grew up watching Mike Brown and his playmaking abilities. Played running back and safety in high school, and I chose to wear the number 30 all four years in his honor. Sad to see a great player like him move on in life.
