We are the generation which has seen the biggest change in the music world don't you think? From Perry Como to Matt Munro ...do you remember him ? and then the Beatles and all those amazing bands- Crossby, Still, Nash etc , Dire Straits , James Taylor ...alll great melodies

I don't think melody is so important for singers now. Now sure I can admire a lot of itbut Adele, Emilie Sande are good!

Incredibly enough, Perry Como's final #1 hit in a career which lasted some 55 years. A good one though, and well sung.

I love my grandparents rock oldies music of the fifties but this I don't get. It's all over the charts from 1955-60 but I don't get this bullshit at all. I never heard it before now, I just had to see what this was - next.

At ten years I had a nice crush on Mr. Como. I thought he was classy and cool, but engaging. He's always been an ideal of gentlemanliness I carry to this day. When I first sang on stage at 7 I chose "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes", for good reason. .
