Many people ask for my help to convert time values that display as military time (1700 hours) to standard time 5:00 PM). If the time value is "stored" as a number, this is easy - you just change the formatting for the cells. However, if the time values is "stored" as a "text value," you will have to take a few steps to make the conversion.

Watch, as I demonstrate each step in this process. I use the LEFT, RIGHT and TIMEVALUE Functions in Excel. I also show you how to join text strings using the & (ampersand).
