Protect marriage. We need to protect the kids. The kids that see mommy or daddy only on the weekends because divorce is rampant these days.

What these people really mean is "we hate gays, so keep them from getting married". It's not about the 'definition' of marriage, because god knows that straight people are altering the definition of marriage all by themselves... "Till death do us part" anyone?

If my mom had never divorced my biological father, I would have been a slave to him by now. I would have been stupid, ignorant, weak, and have a worse self esteem than I already do. If the divorce never happened, I could have been a prostitute to my own father.

Divorce actually preserved my well-being and MY FUTURE. It taught me that if I want a happy marriage I shouldn't marry an asshole.

AND it is ridiculous to ban getting a divorce. So what you're saying is that no matter what could happen in a marriage - fights, cheating, lying and mistreating etc - it'll be ILLEGAL to get a divorce just to protect the kids? Come on, wouldn't it be better to get out of an unhappy marriage than have the kids be affected by unhappy and fighting parents?

Marriage is the union between two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. Not necessarily a man and a woman but two PEOPLE who are in LOVE. If you don't agree, let me ask you - if a gay couple got married - how would that affect your OWN life? You wouldn't walk around feeling sick or disgusted would you? If you don't believe in equal rights for all then just ignore it and keep it out of your own life instead of ruining hopes and dreams for others.

Yes, Christan don't like to hear it but your priests touch little boys that are trying to learn about God. The Pope knew it and did nothing except try to hide the truth. I say eliminate such atrocities from happening in the churches, then you can start throwing stones of accusation.

Also I was thinking, statically at least one of Jesus's apostles was gay, if not two and yes, homosexuality did exist back then too..

Using your logic I could say "because you believe in God you want 'death to America'" but every religion is different and people in every religion are diverse(and yes, NOT every Muslim wants to kill Americans). There has been alot of revelations in the past 26 years about the unreported pedophiles that went decades with out being accused. Your study is pretty out of date, 26 years ago is a long time and before the whole pedophile priest scandals hit.
