The BBC should be ashamed of themselves. All those great programmes in the archive, destined to rot there forever. Rutland Weekend Television, It's Marty (Feldman), the Q series, There's A Lot Of It About, Dave Allen at Large, the list goes on and on. And they remain determined to shit all over the Goodies, even though they ran for ten hugely successful years on the BBC and regularly pulled in viewing figures of 10 million - unheard of for BBC2 today.

This is one of my all-time favourite Spike Milligan sketches. Everything about this sketch is spot-on, the dialogue, the stock footage they use, the music, the editing, costumes, it's an absolute blinder and basically says everything that needs saying about game shows. Thank you very much for uploading it!

True story: Terry Jones once got word that the BBC was going to begin wiping Python. (!!!!!!!!!!) Upon hearing this, he bought all the original masters directly from the network, and thank God for that! The wiping of classic original British comedy was almost tradition at the Beeb, and entire episodes of Q, 1948 Show, Not Only But Also, Frost Report and the first few seasons of the Goodies were all wiped so they could use the tapes for "Horse of the Year" show and news footage!!!
